Liesbeth and Paul’s wedding was one for the books. Every little detail was covered. From the groom getting a gentlemen’s haircut and shave at a nearby barber station to a fairytale-like photoshoot and diner at the beautiful Castle Brasschaat.
When we started working on the blog, Jeroen was one of the first people we contacted to offer him a publication. His incredible images, his creativity, his humor and his kindness (and his beautiful wife Annika, owner of the Wild At Heart Bridal showroom in Nijmegen) have confirmed that we wanted to put his work in the spotlight!
Here are a few words from him about Liesbeth & Paul’s wedding.
“It was certainly a wedding that I wouldn’t have want to miss. And a day to remember!
The day started early at a Barbershop in Rotterdam, where Paul got a fresh shave and a good haircut. After the remaining of his preparation routine, we visited Liesbeth’s house where she was getting ready together with her mother and bridesmaids. Everything was just perfect. The stationary, the rings, all of the details were there for us to photograph. And then Liesbeth put her dress on, and it was just .. magical. This dress (the Blair from Rime Arodaky) was just made for her. With a broad smile on her face and of course some tears it was time to head towards the church for the ceremony. Again… in style, Liesbeth and her bridesmaids drove off in a gorgeous white Mustang!
The church ceremony was something totally new for me because it was a gospel church. So with lots of cheering and singing Liesbeth and Paul gave each other a ‘yes’.
After the ceremony, it was time to cross the border and drive to Belgium to a beautiful location called Castle Brasschaat. The bride and groom were then welcomed with loud applause and of course covered by flowers.
And while the guests were enjoying their drinks, it was time to take the couple away from the crowd and shoot some amazing pictures in and around the castle.
Beautiful round stairs, pillars, gardens filled with flowers…This location made this sparkling couple shine even more. Like I said… A fairytale.
The shoot ended with the couple walking back towards the castle, getting ready for a fantastic dinner. A hall filled with long tables where all the guests were awaiting the couple. Separate courses were served and in between pretty speeches were given by some of their closest family members. Tears were shed … and not only by the bride and groom and their family.
